Trending Recipe: Caramelized Butternut Squash Pizza
- 14-ounce dough ball
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons pesto
- ¾ cup caramelized butternut squash (recipe follows)
- 2 ounces of goat cheese, crumbled
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked soft and rough chopped
- Grated Parmagiano-Reggiano, as garnish
- Preheat the oven to 450 F.
- Roll out the pizza dough and circle lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
- Spread the pesto around the pizza and evenly distribute the caramelized squash, goat cheese, and bacon atop the pesto.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until the cheese has slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven to a cutting board and add fresh cracked pepper and Parmagiano-Reggiano.
- Slice and serve immediately.
